For those of you behind the times, RSS is all the rage. I've been secretly publishing a site feed... but since no one aggregates anyway I didn't bother mentioning it... I'm working on a new project that involves RSS; so I figure I may as well jump on the RSS bandwagon. Yes Sean and Myles, I know you guys and moveable type have had RSS feeds forever.

I've been playing old Lucas Arts games, with kudos to the developers of scummVM. These games are honestly some of the best games ever, not because of their graphics, or their voice acting, or even their stories... but more of because of how they all fit together to tell a story. Of course a heavy does of nostalgia makes everything seem golden. They are a lot of fun though. It's sad, because there aren't really any adventure games any more. I'm probably a little out of it, but I haven't played a game like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis for YEARS. Grim Fandango I heard was excellent, but even that is practically ancient history. It won Gamespot game of the year in 98. Sure its not as old as Indy (which came out in 92) but do you know any good, modern adventure games?

Wow, work has been BUSY. Which is good, and bad. Days fly by when you're busy... but at the same time you're BUSY. I haven't gotten off on time all week! It's cool though, maybe. Nothing too exciting going on. Oh, I had my birthday. I'm 23 now. Woo. I went home and hung out with the old gang from High School. It's so weird hanging out with them. They are fun of course, but I've known them all for a pretty long time. At the same time lots has happened since I've had a decent amount of contact with any of them, so it's just weird. For example, Sabeen was a friend from band, but I completely forgot that she was in band with me. She was talking about piccolo solos, and it didn't even register that she played with me. Then all of a sudden it came back. Maybe I'm getting old...
I can't even organize my thoughts right now. It's Sam's birthday today so we're going out to celebrate. Maybe after I've hung out with some friends and gotten the last few days squared away I'll be able to write more cohesively.

We have a freakin' washer and dryer! Well, we've had them for a couple of weeks. They are setup now, and after only bathing the entire washroom floor in water once; they are fully operational. We didn't even blow up the house with gas!!! Sweeeeeeet.
Damnit, I just wrote a big long post and somehow lost it during the preview. That sucks. Oh well; it's your loss. It's off MY chest.

I've been thinking... it's time for a new layout. It really is. The current was just the blogger template that I liked best, I suppose I never really had much intention of developing the site... but at the same time it would be nice to have something that I worked on and was proud of. Of course I have scant, little time... even it being summer. Perhaps I'll get to it, but more than likely not. Maybe it would help if you commented and said what colors it should be if I were to do it.

It's 4 in the morning. You're asleep, and for this I envy you. Where am I? At work. The sup for graveyard called in sick, and guess who got called in? Well, you needn't guess too hard... seeing as I already told you I'm here. Yeah... it sucks. What really sucks is I already worked 8 hours today. When I get off of work in a couple of hours I'll have been awake for a little more than an hour short of 24 (which is a fancy way of saying '22 and change'). Yeah, I'm pretty tired. This will certainly make my sleep schedule interesting. Oh well, on the plus side working this much puts me into super over time mode, plus since it's graveyard I'll be getting 15% more. All that adds up to me making quite a bit of change today. Still, working 2 shifts in 1 day is balls.

Woo! I got Doom3 installed yesterday... what's more I can afford to buy it tomorrow! I love the Internet. So far I haven't played it much, and I'll only have a little bit of time today... but so far I have to report that it looks great and has the potential for pants wetting scariness. They use light like no other game I've played, when you're running through the halls with your flashlight and you hear something behind you you wheel around but it isn't apparent what you're facing. You struggle to find it before it finds you, and have to fumble with your gun before you get molested by it. It's pretty cool, and runs fairly well... I need to tweak it a little bit though.
