A place that will let me be slightly less bored at work.
A place that will let you see what I'm thinking about.
A place that will let me be lazy, and do no real development.
A place for you.
A place for me.

There has been a distinct lack of updates lately. A lot of things have happened, but I don't really feel like telling the world about any of it. Let's just say I'm busy right now and that's why I haven't updated. Yeah...

In any case, let's make a quick notation on fear and expectations. Case in point: safety in San Luis. Recently I was in a situation where a girl (I use that term intentionally) who I didn't know (I was a casual observer) demanded someone walk her to her car. I'm not nieve, things happen even in San Luis, but the chances of you being raped on the well-lighted 5 minute walk to your car is very small. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not faulting her for being safety concious. I'm faulting her attitude, which to me appeared to be: "I'm a girl, you have to take care of me." This attitude is completely unacceptable. Remember that whole "women's lib" thing? Well it works both ways princess. You get out of the kitchen, I open the door for you if I feel like it. In addition, the whole attitude is self-defeating. If you live in fear, your fears will most likely be realized. Gah, it just annoyed me. If she had just said "Will someone walk me to my car?" You know, ASKED I wouldn't have even taken notice.

Eh, I just decided I'm not in the mood to blog. Suffice to say this has been a challenging week and it's not getting any easier.

I'm back from Mexico, and the cat is out of the bag. So I guess now I can talk about it more publicly. The company is making the same descion so many other companys are: out-source. Truth be told OS is very expensive... so if they didn't outsource it's doubtful that any of us would have jobs at all. My role in the whole process was to help implement the technology side. I'm honestly amazed that our solution works. I mean it makes perfect sense, but who can imagine calls coming from around the world to San Luis, and then sent out through the internet to a microwave antenna and then shot over the border. It's sweet... just amazing. It's time for lab now... so maybe I'll write later.

Whew... I'm in Mexcio now. What a few days this has been. I just got a chance to write a little update. Unfortunately I can't say much other than: The food here is awesome. It's much different than I expected (as in nicer). and: I am AMAZED by technology... I can't believe it works at all. I'll expound later this week.

So I'm writing this from my hotel room in San Diego. This week has been long, but everything has worked out really well so far. My speech today went okay.. I realized about 2 minutes in that I had waaaaay too much information for the 3 minutes I had left... that was interesting. Beyond that I have a program to write this weekend, but it doesn't look like it will be too impossible. We'll see. This weekend will be VERY interesting.

So I'm an ordained minister now in the Universal Life Church. It's simple church with only two tenets: to promote freedom of religion, and to do what is right. Of course they append: "It is the responsibility o fht e individual to determine what is right as longs as it does not infringe on the rights of others and is with in the law". Sounds good to me. So what perks do I get? Well:

As a minister with the ULC, its own denomination, you are granted the following rights:

• To perform marriages within your state, following the rules laid out by the state in which
you wish to perform said marriage.

• To perform funerals, baptisms, last rites or any other sort of legal ceremony or ritual you
   wish to perform, except circumcision.

• To start a church of your own, be it a bricks and mortar building or on the internet.

• To absolve others of their sins as you have been absolved of yours.

So if you know anyone that wants to get married... Oh, so you all have to call me Reverend Kozloff now. I have my certificate up in my office (next to my new partner Frank's). Do you want to be ordained? I can do that too, or you can go do it yourself at: www.ulc.org

Well, that was an intersting trip. I'll post some pictures on gallery.cocksnsocks.com so you can see how amazingly fun it was. Catching up sucked, and I'm not quite done yet, but I do have a tiny bit of free time right now. A window of 45 minutes or so where I can relax and put my feet up before I go back to coding. So God really helped me out today... I was worried about my finishing this assignment, because the teacher said we could turn it in no later than tonight at midnight because of our impending midterm. Well, he moved the midterm today. Thank GOD! Yup, that's it for today.
