A place that will let me be slightly less bored at work.
A place that will let you see what I'm thinking about.
A place that will let me be lazy, and do no real development.
A place for you.
A place for me.

woo, this is my "I'm slightly drunk" post. Myles and I shared two bottles of wine, one from 1994, and one from 1998. Both were pretty tasty. I don't really know what I want to say right now, but I thought that since I was fairly tipsy I may as well blog. That's the entire point of blogging right? Making yourself look like a fool. I don't really know what else to say. Myles is playing KOTOR, and that is fun. He's getting pretty far pretty fast, or maybe it's slow. I can't realy tell. What time is it? Loosk like it's almost 10:30... that means he's been playing for almost three hours. I guess he isn't going that fast. I dunno... a bottle of wine will do that for you. Weee. Time for some more booze. It's been a long time since I've had the opportunity or desire to get drunk, hooray for three day weekends.

Holy poo, it's been a while since I've posted. Or at least it seems like it's been forever. Reading other peoples blogs just now makes me realise how much everything is changing. Pat quit her job, Brion is with Holly, one of my friends from work just proposed, I just moved in to a new place, and Tim will be 22 on Friday. Things are just going by so quickly. I mean last week I think I was whining about how boring things are.

Stuff is changing now, work is still fun and I still like going. I always have this nagging feeling that I'm not doing enough while I'm there, but I doubt anyone else feels that way. While we were interviewing today for the new IT person Dan put it this way: "Lyle is like the fire-fighter, while I just chug along". I think that pretty much sums up what I do, and why I feel like I'm not doing enough. There are always little projects that need to be done, but there is so rarely not a little fire to put out that I hardly have time for them. Yet, working at Dancris has really given me a little place to call my own. I feel needed there, I'm probably not, but I think fixing peoples computers is useful enough, and I like feeling useful.

So the new apartment is awesome, I finally feel like I'm at home where I live. The other place felt more like a stuff-hole, a place to lay down my pack and rest for the 'eve. This place feels like home. I mean, I'm not totally moved in yet, and neither is everyone else, but this is the kind of place that feels like it could be home; you know? The projector is awesome, and just everything works. The shower isn't falling out of the wall, and I dunno. It's nice here. Having Brion and Myles as neighbors is fun too, and I look forward to lots of BBQs out on the lawn.

Michele is coming over shortly, and we're going to watch LOTR:TT on the projector, so adieu.

It's Pint Night tonight! That's when you bring yer Frog and Peach glass down and get cheap beer! Hopefully that's where we'll go tonight, although Myles suggested a more inclusive solution (and consequently more expensive) of Spikes. That'd work I suppose, but as much as I resisted ever going there Frog and Peach does have a certain charm. Sure, it is too loud. Sure, there are too many dumb people. But, damnit it's a bar! It's not a club, which I still doubt I'll ever get into. It's fun though! I guess I like just hanging out on the patio with Chris and Grist and whoever else shows up. It's relaxing, especially after working all day with people going crazy because their computers exploded. Don't get me wrong, I love my job. There are just some of those days =P

Well, I guess I owe the blog a post on my birthday. Today was pretty good, although there was way too much cake. We went to Olive Garden today, (we being the girls in the front and one of my bosses). That was fun, I got my favourite cheesecake (white chocolate raspberry). Holly also prepared a surprise, in the form of a Barbie table cloth and napkins, as well as a double layer suspended chocolate cake. I was fairly amazed. It was very sweet of her.

Nothing new has been going on, but I'm sure that's no surprise. I guess this week was somewhat exciting. Dan was out of the office, so I got to fix everything. It was pretty fun, but stressing at times. I'll be glad when he gets back on Monday.

So that's my birthday post. Hooray.

I went and saw Shane this weekend. Enjoyable to say the least, but spent too much money. In any case good food and good times were had. Pictures to come as soon as I get off my ass and load them onto my computer. We'll see how long that takes. I'm at work now, bored... very bored. So bored I was writing notes in hexadecimal by hand to a friend. Yeah... work can be boring.

Only two more days till pay day! Oh the joy of having money again. Nothing has really been going on. Does that surprise anyone? Shane's birthday was yesterday. We hung out, it was pretty damn fun. We didn't really accomplish anything, but we went to the dunes, and we bought kites and flew them and other fun things. Yeah, I bought a kite yesterday. It's a little stunt kite, nothing too fancy, nothing Tim won't make fun of... (but that shouldn't surprise anyone =P) but it is fun to fly. I wanted to go fly it again today, but didn't end up having time. I'll have to see if it is windy enough after work tomorrow to fly it. That's pretty much all that has gone on. Oh, Brad is a punk. Daisy and me are going to rumble with him, anyone care to join?
