A place that will let me be slightly less bored at work.
A place that will let you see what I'm thinking about.
A place that will let me be lazy, and do no real development.
A place for you.
A place for me.

Whew, things are in full swing now. Wildflower particularly. Our second lake visit was this weekend and it was a blast. This visit was essentially an introduction for the sub-committee to the lake and a chance to get some work done in our areas. Per average on Friday night we did team building activities and fun stuff like that. Let me announce now that my team once again came out top-dog in the drama event. We on the Oscar for Best Skit. It'll go nicely with my Lakey for "Best Actor in a Comedy Role" I won last lake visit. The only drawback to these awards is that the prize is Campus Dining cups, of which I would now have 3. I don't of course, I traded one to Sam for a WF Hat, and gave the other to Charm just because she's awesome. In any case, all that aside the weekend was very productive.

Our main group presentation is tonight, and traditionally group presentations are very boring. Most groups do an adequate job, explain the points we all need to know, and the golden few crack a couple of jokes. The worst ones are sheer pain (*cough* communications *cough*). In any case, I think that last year my commmittee's presentation was hands down the best. It was really just a PowerPoint presentation with bits of weirdness and hilarity thrown in, but the whole crowd was laughing for most of it (and Brian Clow in tears for more than half of it) and they got the information. This year we've really out done ourselves. If last year was awesome, this presentation will be multi-orgasmic. We knew we wanted to up the bar one more level, so thought we would do a video presentation. Let me assure you, this video presentation is unlike any you've seen before.

Why is it so awesome? Well, let me go ahead and lay out a couple of features our little movie has:

-Ernest Hemingway
-A Jungle Adventure
-Orc Hordes
-The new word "Ambrosiatic"
-Super Heroes
-Mutant Ninjas
-Security Sam and his Secret Viper Squad of Six

If I revealed any more your head might explode in anticipation. I don't think I need to say any more. Watch for it soon on this very website. I dumped it into DiVX format last night, so we'll see how big that ends up being. If worse comes to worse I'll down-sample it for Quicktime streaming goodness.

In honesty, I think our presentation will be well receieved, but I'll report back tomorrow. I really hope so at least. I think from conception to final product it took right around 20 hours just for this 6 minutes of gold. If nothing else, it's certainly given me an appreciation for what actually goes into cutting a movie from raw footage.
