Well, I got a gmail account. It's pretty sweet, and it comes at an opportune time, being that CalPoly's email is sucking the big one right now. I've split my email addresses, and everything appears to be running smoothly. There are a lot of people that are scared of gmail, and I have to admit I have my concerns. I've always felt Google has had questionable practices regarding the tracking of users queries, but hey... if they care that much they are welcome to my data. In defense of Gmail Tim O'Reilly (of O'Reilly books) posted this. Give it a read. If you want both sides, check out google-watch. They are a bit alarmist, but they have some interesting points too. Yup... that's my rant for today.
