What a very eventful weekend this was. I finally met my secret online buddy, which was a very random... but fortuitous event. By chance she was at the Smile and Nod audition I went to on Saturday. (No, I didn't get in... but they didn't take anyone this quarter) It was nice to finally meet her. It's funny, I had only ever seen her in a picture. It's strange to see a picture before you meet a person, and then to see that picture animated and moving... in 3d. It was almost disorienting. Nonetheless I'm very happy to have met her, and I hope we'll not make it a one or two time occurance.
I went to Santa Ynez today to celebrate Christmas with the aunt and uncle, that was fun. Nothing super to report there, although I did walk away from the deal with a nice tool set, which is very appreciated. I never can seem to find tools here when I need them. I also picked up a CD I've been searching for a week or so. Brazilian Jazz is the best. I just love the combination of the soft sound of a woman's voice singing in soft sounding Portugese to jazz. The album, by the way, is called Casa. The artists are Morelenbaum^2 (husband and wife combo) and Sakamoto. It is awesome.
I also went ahead and orderd i-Life '04 and a USB music keyboard. I'm really excited. I've wanted a keyboard for a long time, and while this one probably isn't the best keyboard in the world, it'll be a lot of fun to play with. Not to mention GarageBand, which is some sweet software that will finally let me record and mix some more songs. Not to mention it comes stock with more than 1,000 loops. That means I might even be able to have drums in my songs ^_^
Anyway, I'm pretty tired now... so to bed.
